Her dreams aren't usually bleached white, any more. The memories of piercing blue and stinging cold water are still there, faded, echoes of manic laughter that are at once pleasure and grief and a desperation for existence to end are drowned out by real life, by the present, by friends and nervous attempts at a relationship and music and warmth, by her partner hugging her and spinning her around with tears in his eyes, the soft jingle of a brass bell, their mingled relief and laughter.

Summary
Bakugou Katsuki was born with a soulmark on his calf that bonded him to Midoriya Izuku. A mark that burned him every time he hurt his soulmate, not that it ever stopped him — he was just careful about doing it.
But there’s a reason the mark burns; Fate is warning him of her displeasure, and ignoring the burn for too long during battle trials results in Fate taking drastic action.
Suddenly, Bakugou has only blackened flesh where the mark used to be, Midoriya’s arm looks as if he never had a mark in the first place, and Markless Todoroki Shouto steps up to help Midoriya through the difficulty of suddenly losing a soulbond.
When Todoroki and Midoriya clash during the Sports Festival, Fate decides to interfere again — though for a much nicer reason, this time.

Shota sneers at the teenager across from him. His defense raises like the hairs on the back of his neck as he glares steadily, ready and waiting for whatever will come from this encounter. He narrows his gaze when the teen shifts; just the thought of sharing this rooftop with Japan's most notorious villain makes his skin prickle. “Deku.”
“Y-yes!” the teenager cries out in relief, taking a small step towards Shota, “I’m Deku! I’m so g-glad you—”
“Deku,” Shota growls darkly, flicking out his capture weapon hastily to snag the villain before he can make his move. He's quick to tug it taut, leaving no room for Deku to escape. “You’re under arrest.”
“I-I’m what?! W-wait!”
tl;dr
Hero Course student Izuku comes to the realization that he is definitely not where he's supposed to be.
