    Buttons raises his hand. ‘Ye said there’s seven habits, Cap’n. That’s only five.’

     If Izzy had a dollar for every time someone pointed that out, he’d have enough money to buy his own ship and finally get the fuck away from Stede Bonnet and his merry band of lunatics.

    Or, Izzy has a meltdown, Stede gets a reality check, and Ed learns to stop being such an absent father captain.

    What is unusual is the following:

    Firstly, he is in the Captain's Cabin (Co-Captain’s cabin? The fucking honeymoon suite? Whatever the fuck they’re calling it these days)

    Secondly, the room is - at least by Bonnet’s standards - a mess. 

    Thirdly, Izzy might be waking up alone, but he did not go to sleep alone. He went to sleep warm and heavy and snuggled. 

    Israel Hands – first mate of the legendary Blackbeard - doesn’t fucking snuggle. That’s fucking ridiculous. 

    And yet.

    Or, the morning after Stede sleeps with Izzy for the first time, Izzy reminisces on the night before. He's interrupted by Stede who worries that he hurt him.
