Summary

Pete tells him. Pol doesn’t like it.
Pete and Pol get put in charge of a surveillance operation on a potential business rival. The only way to avoid rousing suspicion is to take over a small family restaurant. “Yes, Khun Vegas.”
Vegas takes a slow breath in and Pete lets himself look up from where he’s been staring at the floor in front of him. It’s usually safest when in the presence of the minor family.
“Call me sir,” Vegas slips into English, and Pete is thankful for the half dozen years of English he took in school and the years of lessons he’s had since. He understands the words though he’s not sure why Vegas wants him to call him anything other than his proper title.
He’s given up on wondering overly much about Vega’s motivations.
