Voldemort may be able to touch Harry but he could no longer touch his mind. Because of this, In Harry's Fifth year, instead of wallowing in his own suffering, he trains himself up in preparation for what's coming. He vows to himself and to his late parents that he'll give it his best to overcome this, to endure going through this challenge even just for a little while.
This is my rewrite of the canon to make Harmony work. AU will be in sixth year

While on the ground, she learns a lot about becoming a leader, and what it means to survive on the ground.

“Not like that.” One hand covered Clarke’s crotch and the other pulled the sheet tighter across her breasts. “I meant, I could… the cup. I could do it in the cup. Not… I didn’t mean that I would…. That I want to…. Fuck.” She waved her hand between them; karate chopped her fragmented sentences. “I’m sorry. Just forget it. I mean, that was so… rude. I am so sorry. Upon landing on Earth, Clarke Griffin and Octavia Blake barely knew each other. One reckless swim, one desperate rescue, and one violent current changed that. Swept far from the drop-ship and taken by warriors of the Ice Nation, they find themselves prisoners in a world colder, older, and far more organized than anything the Ark prepared them for. To survive, they are forced into Azgeda’s arena, trained by strangers, and watched by a queen.
But the arena does more than threaten their lives. Clarke, raised to heal, discovers how easily knowledge of the body can become knowledge of how to break it. Octavia, born hidden and caged, finds freedom in violence and fears how much of herself answers to it. In a place designed to turn them into weapons, Clarke and Octavia's bond becomes the one thing holding them together.

Harry has died, over 20 times in his rather short life. His future is in the garbage at this point, nothing can be fixed. And according to his reaper, it seems to be all Harry's own fault. Issac, the Reaper, is done with all the mistakes and goes off on Harry.
Opps. Should not have done that.
We all now Harry has the patients of a god. And when he loses it is often explosive. Yet he has nothing to lose at this point, and Death is not ready for a person like Harry.
A story with a slightly more realistic idea what how the reaper challenge should have played out. Including, the reapers learning the definition of insanity.
