“It looks worse than it is, I swear to you."
"I mean, shit, it's pretty fucking awful. You're basically purple."
"Did I ever tell you about spider regeneration?" Buck asks, squeezing Eddie's hands. Eddie hesitates, frowning cutely before he takes the obvious out and rolls his eyes fondly.
"Nope, go ahead Spider-man, tell me," he says, raising an eyebrow, squeezing Buck's hands right back.

Summary
It was only when he started at the 118 that he felt that emptiness in his chest begin to ease just a little. There was the occasional “good job”, or “good save” from Bobby or the rest of the team, which was definitely better than nothing. It was enough to tide him over, sure, but it still never felt like it was enough.
Either way, he learned—whether it was from his parents, or his teachers, or his boss-slash-father-figure—that he had to work to earn it. That praise wasn’t freely given.
That was, until Eddie.
Or, Eddie unknowingly heals Buck’s inner child with a little bit of praise and Buck discovers something about himself.

Summary
"I’m not getting banned from Aquarium of the Bay because you’re horny.”
Eddie pinches his wrist. “Fuck off. You’re horny.”
Buck leans in, brushing their mouths together, a barely there sensation—Eddie can feel Buck’s breath intermingling with his. He chases it, leaning forward to close the short gap, but Buck pulls away again. Eddie chases him further, leaning into his space, stopped by a hand planted on his sternum. Asshole.
“Yeah. And you’re completely unaffected, right?” Buck asks, smug.
Eddie rolls his eyes, dragging Buck the dozen or so steps to the men's room, before shoving his pretty boyfriend into a stall. Buck pulls out his phone, scrolling for a second, much to Eddie’s displeasure. He leans in, kissing at Buck’s jaw, nose dragging along his cheek.
“You’ve got four and a half minutes, Diaz,” Buck tells him, setting the phone down on top of the toilet, an alarm counting down on the screen. “Come in my mouth before the timer goes off, or you gotta wait till we get home.”
Jesus Christ. “Guess you better get to work then, huh?"

Summary
When they make it back to the station, Eddie expects things to go back to normal. Clearly, he imagined something, his own guilt transpiring into something edging toward an auditory hallucination. He pushes on, shedding his gear and making his way into the kitchen. He chops up the vegetables handed to him, slicing them finely, long fingers careful with the blade, well, until—
I don’t even know how to stop staring. God, his hands. Holy shit. I wonder how many of his fingers would fit in my mouth—
“Jesus Christ,” Eddie chokes, knife slipping in his hand, almost nicking his finger. He pauses, placing the knife to the side of the chopping board. “What did you—what was that?”
Buck looks up from where he’d been staring at Eddie’s hands, catching his eye. “Huh?”His eyes are beautiful, Buck says—or his voice does. Eddie watches, but there, right in front of him, Buck’s mouth is unmoving.
OR Eddie's forced to confront the situation at hand because he can't get Buck's voice out of his damn head.
