Lucien attends yet another ball when he spots the woman he's had his eye on for years. It is unfortunate he'll never be good enough for her, only the seventh son of a duke. He's content to watch her from afar, sulking on the wall, but it seems fate has other plans. When he finds a man trying to lead Miss Archeron down an alley way against her will, he does what any gentleman would: punches said man in the face and offers her a ride home. It is most unfortunate that it starts to rain and they must seek shelter at his family cottage where there is only bed.
