    Exciting news: they’re almost at Erid! Hours away, actually! He’s vibrating with excitement, as much as you can with your ribs sticking out through your skin. But screw that noise! The journey is almost over! Beginning of an end, end of a beginning, baby! His entire journey has culminated into this one event: making contact with an alien species. Whether that was through astrophage, taumeoba, or Eridians. Not even being sick and hungry could ruin this. He doesn’t know if the nausea is from the nerves or not.

    The Employee didn’t expect to be kidnapped by a humanoid toy who could control a collection of purple braids. Nor did he expect to be forced into preparing a tea party for him, her, and several inanimate plushies. Lily Lovebraids had called them her ‘friends’.
    Poppy and Kissy being there was another surprise, but he rescued them anyway, ignoring the remnants of betrayal’s vicious lance stabbing at him.
    What he never predicted was Lily to be so accusatory towards Poppy, laying into her with insults and accusations. Also, how much the other toys seem to dislike the former.

    What he definitely could never expect, though, was her ‘Special Guest’ to be the Prototype itself. He could never have guessed what it looks like, but he does have some idea on its personality – Poppy and her allies have told him enough.
    Upon its arrival, however, The Prototype has not met his expectations.

    Or: A rewrite of the Tea Party scene, In which the Prototype behaves… Differently.
