    Ron had friends, he did and he loved them but with Hermione dating pansy and harry with draco he always felt pushed to the side by the ones he called his best friend, he wished to have someone but who would want him.

    Neville had friends, and he loved them more than anything but with them dating each other sometimes he felt as though he was interrupting them, and sometimes it was just too much with luna and ginny always sitting together in class or at meal time, and he didn't want to interrupt them falling in love and being happy. So he pushed himself away, not too much because he still loved them very much and didn't want to lose them.

    With both Ron and Neville not having much to do or anyone to hang out with they started getting close, maybe just a little too close.

    P.S. This will take place in fourth year.
