The clock in the corner ticks, the goldfish tank hums, and the smell of mildew sinks into Tim's sinuses. Everything swirls in his mind in a never ending loop. Phantom screams, the glow of fire, last words left unsaid. They’re gone. He doesn’t have cousins or aunts or uncles or grandparents or even close family friends. It’s just Tim now.

Tim stiffened instinctively.

That realization visibly hurt.
For a moment Bruce simply looked at them.
His sons.

Exhausted.
Trying much too hard to hold themselves together.
Then he crouched so he was eye level with them.

Summary
Mana was two years old when she had witnessed her first death, a row of inmates gunned down as an exposure test. When she turned three, she would learn how to hold those same guns, and by four, she would learn to use them for the same purposes. The facility taught her and her friends that it was their duty, that they would be the next to fight the crimes of the world.
What they didn't count on was Mana remembering how those who failed the test had been eliminated along with the inmates, and that she was more than willing to bring them all down. Now all she needed was to get help from the outside world, hopefully convincing them to spare her friends, and ending the fight before it could begin.
OR Mana, a walking perception filter a la "Where's Waldo?" decides to seek justice, one way or another. And if she meets certain heroes, villains, and everyone in between that are willing to take her in, it was only a small price to pay.
OR Jason Todd becomes a dad without meaning to, but will not back down.
