"Ever since he moved in with his friend, Spirou had had this irrational fear of being thrown out on the street the moment Fantasio found a woman. At first, this fear stemmed from not wanting to lose the good life he had with Fantasio, but over time, it also became a fear of seeing the man he loved love someone else. Spirou wasn't a selfish man. He had come to terms with the fact that one day it would happen and that he would just have to smile and say he was happy for his best friend. But here they were now, several years later, and still no sign of a serious romantic relationship for either of them"
