Summary
Steve Rogers is a seasoned activist and not at all afraid to get arrested while protesting the building of a pipeline. HOWEVER he is TERRIFIED when he realizes he’ll be chained to the same backhoe as Bucky “very handsome southern boy who also plays guitar and struts like a panther in his very tight, worn thin blue jeans” Barnes.
Our brave, tiny Steve will find out once and for all: Can you catch on fire from blushing over your crush?
May Contain: Extended descriptions of how to get arrested while chained to a backhoe, copious amounts of sisters, Appalachian accents, cheerful silliness interspersed with tragic background realness. Pining with a happy ending. Chicken related controversy.
Tragic background realness mainly consists of parents passing away, because who doesn’t love adult orphans. Discussion of funerals. Very brief homophobic interaction in chapter 18 (marked in the chapter intro notes). There is no violence, but there are a few moments where you might think there might be violence. Overall this is a romance not a gritty, hard hitting documentary.
If I missed any potential triggers I always appreciate being told as I know what it's like to have my day/etc ruined by something in a fic.

Summary
This is a story about recovering from rape, society's apathy toward victims of campus assault, and one man's trial to escape an abusive relationship in a world where men are painted as the batterer. When James Barnes, professional dancer, starts realizing his long-term boyfriend isn't interested in a healthy relationship, he meets Steve Rogers, one of his boyfriend's victims and a soon-to-be-graduate from NYU. Their friendship seems impossible, but maybe they are what the other needs to start clawing out of their traumatic pasts. The road is long and arduous, but recovery always is.

Summary

A man on the outskirts of town needs help tending his farm and newly orphaned niece.
James just needs to hold still for a moment, to stop running from everyone and everything until he can catch his breath.

Summary
“What’s your name?” Steve tries to make his tone gentle and friendly so this question doesn’t sound like an interrogation.
“James, my name is James,” says the other man softly, his accent making it sound almost like “Gems.”
And isn’t he a gem, Steve marvels inwardly, before recoiling in horror at himself and this sudden strain of sappy sentimentality.
It must be the extra bourbon on the rocks.
“Hello, James, I’m Steve,” he grits out. “Are you here to meet someone, or…?” he trails off at the end of the question, his voice hopeful.
For a split second, James knits his brow, not understanding. But he must figure it out, because his expression flashes from confused to knowing and alluring in an instant.
“Yes, I am here to meet you,” he answers, his voice now more purposefully throaty and provocative. “Aren’t you happy to meet me, Steve? Perhaps we go somewhere together…acquaint ourselves better.”

Summary
Since being widowed ten years ago, Steve Rogers has been pretty busy raising the three children he was left with and really, he's been fine with that. Unfortunately, his well-intentioned-yet-interfering friends have decided to get involved and suddenly Steve finds himself in a club meeting a gorgeous young male Omega closer to his daughter's age than Steve's own and sparks fly.
However, when it becomes clear that neither Steve nor Bucky - the Omega in question - are the type for a one-night romance, everyone has an opinion on the matter and their entire relationship becomes a family affair.
