Having always used humor and sex as a deflection and a wall to keep people out, Gerry knows exactly what he means. He can't say he has a ton of people who would drop everything to be there when he's hurting. Not that he would drop his own act long enough to actually ask for the help anyway.
He realizes this isn't at all what he thought. What he's seeing right now is something rare, an overlooked treasure. His favorite kind.
"People always want me around to be fun and then they never want to be around me when I'm like..." Tim gestures at himself, "this."

“Hi, Jon,” he says, and Jon stops writing at the sound of his voice. “We’re out of the green tea, but we’ve got lemon?”
Jon looks at him. Martin smiles at him in his usual tentative way as he sets the mug of tea down on Jon’s desk. Heat spikes so sharply in his gut that he twitches with it.
“Thank you, Martin,” he says, mouth dry, and he stands up.
“Oh,” he says, sounding almost surprised. He smiles again. “No-- no problem-- um, what are you--”
Jon takes Martin by the shoulders, leans up on the tips of his toes, and kisses him.

Jon blinks, focus drifting, "Y-Yes." the woman catches him staring, she smells so much of mold and rot and he can practically see the outline of her statement like a blazing constellation. They both look away, "No monsters in Scotland."

“How long have you been able to pick me up?” He asks, trying not to sound nearly as winded as he feels. It’s at least 60% the kiss itself, but the fact that Lance can lift him, apparently easily, is doing strange things to his chest in that moment.
Lance’s mouth is still on his skin, pressing open mouthed kisses to his jaw and throat so that he can feel when Lance smirks. “Oh, you liked that, huh?”
Keith’s mouth is dry and it feels impossibly difficult to swallow with Lance nuzzling against him. “…Yes.”
Lance laughs triumphantly and the vibration leaves a warm buzz under his skin. Was it fair that even his laugh was beautiful? Not in the slightest.
