Summary
From his left, Draco heard Blaise’s breath hitch and he knew immediately that he must have seen Hermione. Draco turned his head and found his witch, fuck no longer his witch, across the room with her back to him. Her beautiful chocolate curls cascaded down her back in loose ringlets. He gulped as he noticed how the green silk of her dress molded to her perfect ass like a second skin. His heart started beating erratically when he noticed her hand was holding the hand of a man that Draco hadn’t spoken to in months, Theodore Nott.
“Draco…” Blaise whispered.
Rage started building in Draco’s chest as his breathing became hard to control. The possessive beast that used to thrive in Draco when he and Hermione were still together woke from its slumber to roar loudly.
Time stopped though when Hermione turned and again, Draco felt as if all the air left his lungs.
Hermione actually was pregnant.

Summary
Immediately following the end of WWII, Killian Jones and Emma Swan have a serendipitous meeting upon a train platform while each travels to their respective homes. When Emma’s traveling companion fails to arrive, she offers Killian her extra ticket so he isn’t forced to spend the night on a hard bench outside the station’s office. Once aboard, Emma receives devastating news - her lover has abandoned her to face her family alone with the news she is pregnant, and now, without a fiance. Moved with compassion, and a willingness to put off what is (or rather, what is not) awaiting him at home, Killian offers to go with her to face her family. They concoct a scheme to get married then have Killian “abandon” her a few weeks afterward, leaving her with no other option than to seek a divorce. A plan that will cast him as the villain and leave her somewhat blameless in her family’s eyes.
Falling in love with one another along the way wasn’t a part of the plan.

Summary
His boy brings home a girl that spring, a pretty thing with blonde hair and a shy smile and a belly she can’t hide, and when he sees the way Eddie looks at her, Wayne’s heart sinks past his gut.
“It’s not mine,” Eddie tells him the next afternoon. They’re out on the side porch after lunch; Chrissy's inside, asleep on the couch.
“The baby,” Eddie adds when Wayne doesn’t respond right away. He’s frowning fiercely at his knees. “She had a boyfriend. Well, until…”
“Until?” Wayne prompts.
The boy—not so much a boy now, twenty-three and taller than him—shrugs. “Until he knocked her up.” His mouth twists in a sneer. “Fucker thought basketball was a better deal than her and a kid.”
Wayne sits with that for a minute. “Sounds like a piece of work.”
Eddie snorts. “I’ll say.”
A couple cars go by on the road; the whine of a lawnmower a couple spots down drifts in and out.
“Wayne.”
“Yeah, kid.”
Eddie tips his head back to look at him, something between nerves and determination on his face as he squints against the sun.
“I’m gonna marry her. If she’ll let me.”
