Summary
Lee Minho, a violinist at a prestigious orchestral university, has lived the same day, over and over, hundreds of times. His life is monotonous, a blur of shades of beige. When he prays for change, his answer comes in the lead singer of a rock band, Bang Chan, who sends him an interesting proposition. Suddenly, he's thrust into the whirlwind of a new world, one filled with ripped black clothing and shots of alcohol. He meets strange people, completely different than the typical private school student, like the bassist, Lee Felix, one of his classmates known for being an outcast, or the drummer, Seo Changbin whose intimidating demeanor is opposite of his true personality. Even Kim Seungmin, the leader of an opposing band who has a dark history with the band.
Then, there's Han Jisung. He's an enigma, refusing to share any information and forcing Minho to figure it out himself. The only thing Minho really knows is that Jisung and Chan are something- not quite dating, not just friends, and have a co-dependence that no one else understands. The more time Minho spends with Jisung, his obsession with getting to know him grows, until it starts to feel less like obsession and more like something unexplainable.

“What if…” Jisung pauses, twirling his cigarette between his fingers. The ash falls onto his lap, and he does not know what to say next. The blood thickens in his veins, and his thoughts gather like ash in his lungs. "What If I kill him first?"
"You ought to have done that when I handed you the weapon," Seungmin remarks, rising from his seat. He circles the table, halting beside it, crouches down to gaze into Han's eyes, and therein Han sees himself — and the slender chain about his neck tightens, for all this time, it has not been he who drew it taut, but others.
