Summary
He lowers himself a little, properly catching Mike’s eyes and then says gently, “How’re you feeling?”
“Shit.” There are still hot, beading tears on his face and he can feel where the blood is drying, just like it has on the floor. “Will.” Mike says, blinking slowly because even that hurts.
And then his thigh grows warmer and without looking down, Mike knows that Will’s hand has come to rest there, he knows the shape of his fingers, the soft but steady touch.
OR: After an attack, Will tends to Mike's wounds.

Summary
Will choked out a sob, a terrible feeling churning inside him as the demos tore the door open. Will scrambled forward, with Mike in his arms, and rushed towards the opposite wall to put as much distance between the monsters and Mike.
He pressed his back against the wall and cradled Mike to his chest, standing weakly as he stared at the monsters filtering inside the small room. There were more of them now, four demodogs and three demogorgans, watching them like they were waiting for a command. From vecna.
Will gritted his teeth and stared back at the petal-faced monsters, at their rows and rows of sharp teeth arranged perfectly.
He pulled Mike closer to his chest and pressed a kiss to his head, for one last time.
“I’m sorry, baby,” he whispered wetly, feeling the tears stream down his cheeks freely now. They dripped down his face and fell into Mike’s curls, dampening them. “I couldn't save you,”
He watched in slow motion as the demodogs jumped at them.
They were going to die.
Vecna was going to take Mike from him again.
And something snapped inside Will.

Summary
Mike and Will have been together for a couple of years, even when distance made loving each other difficult. Will lives in Lenora Hills, California. Mike lives in Hawkins, Indiana. Somehow, they make it work.
In the spring of 1990, Will comes home to Hawkins, and like most teens in love, their actions become reckless. By summer, Mike is placed in a position. A pregnant omega whose family head alpha is rejecting his unborn pup.
So Mike runs.
With only some cash, dreams, and clothes that he stole from friends and left behind by Will, he makes his way to California in the hopes of making it to the Byers' residence before his baby is born. Mike is willing to do everything he can to achieve that dream, because for once he wants to be the one to write the ending of his campaign.
Even though there is a chance that there won't be a single waterfall.

Summary
Mike and Will fell on top of the glass floor, Will’s back hitting the surface with a sickening crunch. Mike gasped on top of him, and Will’s head shot up, taking in his lover’s appearance, trying to gauge if he was hurt.
“Mike, are you okay?” he asked, breath wheezing out from him. The impact had made him breathless, with the collective weight of Mike on top of him.
But Mike was safe, away from Vecna, alive and breathing, even though he was right on top of him.
He won’t have it any other way.
“Y-yes,” Mike breathed out, coming out of his initial shock. He lifted his head from Will’s neck, his black curls flopping forward to frame his pale face. There was a cut near his lip, making a thin stream of blood trickle, but other than that, he didn’t look hurt.
Will slowly untangled the hand around Mike’s waist and cupped his cheek, thumb swiping the trickle of blood. His eyes were wide and unblinking, thick lashes filtering the moonlight and pink lips slightly parted to breathe, his long hands splayed on Will’s chest.
Mike was beautiful.

Will frowns, looking down at his watch and then at Mike as he wheels himself back into the aisle.
“I mean,” he says, looking back down at their empty basket, “we just started, but uh…I don’t really mind. We’ll be done in around–”
“WE MIND!” Dustin shrieks. Will wonders how he hasn’t gotten throat problems yet, considering the sheer volume he’s been yelling at. “WE MIND VERY FUCKING MUCH!”
