Summary
Endeavor never questioned the fact that all Heroes were treated equally by the Hero Commission until he saw the state of his close friend Hawks's home. When the hero confessed to being in massive debt to the Hero Commission for his training and upbringing, Endeavor lends a hand and offers Hawks one of the empty rooms in his home. Hawks has always proved to be fascinating company, and is even more so up close. However, when Hawks's morals are called into question, and his behavior begins to misalign with a Hero's virtues, Endeavor begins to scrutinize him. It leads him down a painful investigation, where he finds the leader of the most nefarious opioid trafficking ring in the country, alongside the truth that he should never love again.
TLDR: Hawks lives a double-life as a Hero and a drug dealer, and Endeavor is both catching on to and falling in love with him.

Summary
