“Sils!” Sevika calls, but you don’t turn back.
You cover your nose and mouth, following Violet. She turns down an alley and you call her name. “Violet, wait!”
You catch up to the alley, just as she turns to look at you. You pull down your hood. “Violet–”
“What are you doing here?” She seethes.
You pant as you catch your breath, your hands gripping her shoulders. “Where are you going?”
She pushes you away. “Are you out of your fucking mind?” You see the tears brim her eyes. “Vander’s dead, Sils. And who do you think is at fault?”
