The whole of CLADE’s headquarters had finally exhaled its last few puffs of tension for the day. Everyone had hidden away for the day in their semi-identical rooms to try and get some shut-eye. After thirteen hours of missions, training sessions, and never-ending pressure, Kit laid in her bed while waiting for a certain someone to sneak in. Sam, of course.
Now that they were a couple, this was their only moment to have full-on privacy and enjoy their love the only way they knew how to... even if Sam and his ghosts weren't letting him stay fully in the moment, which Kit would take care of the best she could. -

Before Sam and Kit were the A+ agents we all know and love, they were just a couple of junior CLADE recruits trying not to drive each other crazy by just coexisting with each other. After a bumpy first mission as a duo tracking some mysterious vultures, they don’t have any cases the next day. Michiru knew that was stupid. Adults didn't get keyed up over small inconveniences. Adults didn't whine about the expenses necessary to maintain an illegal connection to the outside world. Above all, adults most certainly did not give everyone around them the stink eye because of a crappy birthday.
