Summary
It's Sarah Wilson who found him on the couch in the morning after their long weekend boat-fixing getaway.
He was grinning like a loon with his arms stretched out behind his head, happier than he’s been in… well way too long.
She watched him, leaning against the wall with her hip cocked out and a small considering smile on her face.
“Now I know you didn’t spend all night out here,” she said.
Bucky moved slowly into a sitting position. “Oh,” he said innocently, very proud of the way his voice didn’t crack. “Where would I have slept?”
She snorted. “Please, my brother thinks he’s slick but he’s not. And you aren’t either. You’re just lucky my sons sleep on the second floor so they couldn’t hear you. I was not so lucky.”
(Or Sam and Bucky's eventful night at the Wilson residence, and of course the morning after.)

“Yelena,” he said. “What. The fuck. Is this.”
“What does it look like?”
What it looked like was a pillow. It was nearly as tall as Bucky was, and maybe a foot and a half wide. The background was white.
He noted all of these things in the back of his mind. The front of his mind was preoccupied with the stylized illustration of Sam, printed on the full length of the pillow. He gazed out at Bucky with the same easygoing expression Bucky had seen a thousand times, though somehow this version conveyed a distinct smolder.
He was also naked. At least, Bucky assumed he was. He was definitely shirtless and pantsless, but he was holding the shield over his crotch.
“It’s double-sided,” Yelena said helpfully.
(Bucky receives a birthday gift that he absolutely, positively, does not want. At all.
Until it starts coming in handy.)

“What on Earth are you listening to?”
There’s a soft hitch in Bucky’s breath, because he’s been caught and he’s been caught by the absolute last person on Earth that he would want to see him doing something as ridiculous as this. He doesn’t want to explain to him what he’s doing, because he feels idiotic, he feels so god damn foolish, but he knows that Sam won’t leave him alone until he’s sated with information.
“....Listening to…..current hits?” He says it like a question, because it probably is.
