Faith cared for Buffy’s wounds as if mending them was mending all the years of hurt between them and any injuries that they had inflicted upon each other. With each bandage placed, it was like they were putting the pieces of their relationship back together.
Or: After all of the hurt and complications between them, Buffy and Faith pick up the pieces and take care of each other's injuries

Buffy leans in closer, hair falling toward Faith’s face. “I thought you liked bad ideas.” She pulls back the sheets in a fistful, plants her palm firmly on one side of Faith’s hips; an action full of desire, while her eyes are still full of wonder and innocence.
Faith knows better than to believe that for a second. B’s no saint. She pushes herself up more on her elbows, sitting up completely. It brings Buffy even closer to her, but neither of them retreat. “Yeah, well, that’s the reformed part of reformed evil-doer. I try not to run toward bad ideas anymore.”
Buffy’s silent for a second before she asks, “And what if I do?”
