For as long as Kageyama could remember, he's been dealing with those who aren't human; no matter the form they take. They use their hosts, the victims, anger and twist it into murderous rage. They kill people that are close to the victim, feel no remorse, and will continue to do so until they're stopped. That's where he comes in; Kageyama is a priest. He doesn't follow the rules though, getting himself in trouble when he prods into things he shouldn't be.
He doesn't care about the repercussions as long as people are saved. The guilt that flooded him that first time, the first time he couldn't save them, has never left. It hits him at random times; seeing flashes of the victim out of the corner of his eyes. Along with the victims of those who aren't human. The people they harmed, murdered, ruined the lives of; he remembers every face.
Maybe that's why when an orange haired man with a need to save people stumbled into his life, he didn't push him away as much as he should have.
