“You’re very handsome, Yoshiki. You've got a real pretty face and the rest of ya is real pretty too. I’m not gonna judge you. So just take off yer clothes and get in the water! I promise it’s not too cold,” ‘Hikaru’ said. His voice was just as soft as the words he was speaking.
Forget fear. Forget regret. Forget hate and forget shame.
The only thing Yoshiki was sure he was feeling now was a surge of overwhelming, angry, and yet ever so gentle love.
God, this was a curse. He loved the way the compliment rolled off of ‘Hikaru’’s lips. He loved the way it made him feel. He loved the way he wanted to receive it more than reject it.
He loved that ‘Hikaru’ loved him this much because the real one never had.
Yoshiki didn’t want to come to terms with ‘Hikaru’’s love. Especially after he had to manage his own for his dead best friend. It wasn’t right. And it never would be.
But he can’t bring himself to shut ‘Hikaru’ out. So he complies and takes him along to the beach to make him happy.
Neither of them walk away from the water in-tact, and both walk away in sickening love.
