Summary
Everyone in politics has an addiction. Viktor's just so happens to be Jayce Talis.
He wasn’t sure precisely when it began, but it had rooted deep in him by now. At some point, Jayce had become a drug more significant than shimmer to him, red and pure silver streaking through his veins at the slightest touches between them, the flood of chemicals that followed effortlessly wracking his frame.
Viktor could get his fix and be energized for the rest of the night. Jayce was an addiction, and Viktor would get over it when the time came.
And if that were a lie, well then he had plenty of time to see to it that it became a truth.

Summary
A long ways back they'd started having a long streak of good luck.
Suguru hadn't thought to count the days back then, they're riding high and even he can't see a reason to throw that out. The sun is hot and the land is broad and they have plenty of ground to cover.
And then, one bounty hunter gets the jump on them, and Satoru dies.
It's only for about 2 hours altogther, but still, it changes everything.

Summary
"Satoru knows it's more attractive to be humble, however, so he does just that. He takes his sweet time crossing from the far side to the near one, and just barely through the muffling of the water, he hears Suguru emerge just a moment before him. He waits another good moment before his hands meet the cold tile to surface for air with a subtle gasp.
A grin, a genuine one, teases at Suguru's mouth, and it makes something in Satoru's chest falter. Suguru's lips are a vibrant pink, naturally plump and glistening from the water, and he's suddenly very relieved that none of his students are around.
"Better luck next time," that melodic voice says back to him, "Maybe when you go all out, I will too." The man was cocky, and Satoru finally finds his composure enough to rise to the challenge
"Best 2 out of 3?"
