Summary
Bruce promised himself he wouldn't feel bad. He refused to feel bad.
Since the boy arrived, he had been nothing but pain and trouble. Bruce must have been happy that Damian wasn't his 'real' son.
Sure, Damian was just a kid, but Bruce did more than his duty to go out of his way to keep him safe. And now that he was gone, Tim could be at peace again (seriously, what was this rivalry between them?)
So why did he feel so guilty about letting him go?
or Talia lied about Damian being Bruce's son to protect him and came back to take take him home, now the batfamily doesn't know how to reconnect with Damian- forget that, they don't even know WHERE Damian is

Summary
A failed mission opens wounds old and new. A missing woman. An unexpected November snowfall. A young boy torn between homes, with a mother-shaped hole inside of him, desperately scrambling to save the life of the man who is teaching him that love need not always be bitter, and it need not be earned every day kneeling, on frozen stones, with a blade on one's back.
Or: Dick is injured, and Damian finds that he really does care. He really cares an awful lot.

Summary
When Damian Wayne accidentally ends up ten years in the past, he's determined to find his way back on his own. Too bad a nine-year-old Tim Drake out batwatching happens upon him, immediately getting attached to this alternate Robin.
Begrudgingly, Damian tolerates his future brother's presence as he looks for a way home - all while doing everything to avoid meeting the rest of his family. He can't afford to change the past, after all.
Fate (and his love for his family) have other plans.

Dear Jax,
Why do I begin all these letters with "dear Jax?" You weren't dear to me at all! You were an insufferable, insensitive, unlikeable, violent jackass who had absolutely no interest in changing. But I guess part of me assumed you'd give it up some day and get better. I don't know why, but the idea of you not getting a happy ending never felt real until you were already gone.

Or, Jax's abstraction hits Zooble a lot harder than they were expecting. They don't know how to explain this, not even to themself. At Kinger's suggestion, they attempt to anyway--through letters. They think it's stupid and pointless, but something makes them keep writing anyway.
