Summary
After the events on Bandomeer, Qui-Gon reiterates that he cannot train Obi-Wan, but he tells Obi-Wan he deserves to be a Jedi. Obi-Wan follows Qui-Gon back to the Temple, becomes the padawan of Councilor Mace Windu, and dedicates himself to being a padawan worthy of a master who sits on the Council and invented his own lightaber form. Along the way, he bonds with his lineage sister, Depa Billaba, gets into mischief with his best friend Quinlan, and meets the Mand'alor, Jaster Mereel.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, unwanted child and then unwanted initiate finds himself a family that spans cultures and the galaxy. And when darkness rises up to threaten it, he defends his family with all the lessons and tricks the Force has taught him.

When Alexander woke up his whole body was hurting. He was feeling sluggish and hot all over, like he had a fever. There was an unpleasant prickling underneath his skin, as if something was trying to crawl out of him. He tried to open his eyes, but closed them instantly, the bright light of the day sending shockwaves of pain through his skull. Everything was too bright, too loud, all his senses were on overload and it was unbearable.
Or the one where John, Alex and Lafayette are vampires.

Thorin Oakenshield slowly wakes to the sounds of Bilbo and his nephews talking softly, colder and heavier than he has ever been in his life, but before he can get a word out Bilbo is punching him square on the nose. Quite rightly, as it turns out, because he's been dead for a week and has just sat up in his tomb with no warning whatsoever.
Following the aftermath of the Battle of the Five Armies where Thorin must fight with his own guilt and mind over his choices and what they mean and meant, where he must decide whether or not to rule, and how to live with himself after dying. Focusing on many different characters and relationships, as well as building on the lore of Erebor and Middle Earth. A story about coming home.
