Summary
The last flare of sunlight outside has faded into a spark at the horizon’s edge. Dusk, and the birds have come to roost—Yuuji can hear the clicking and fluttering, the gentle rhythm of their bodies as they settle under the awning outside his window. He stares out the dark glass as he attempts to calm himself, looking for a hint of foot or beak and finding nothing but the city.
It’s been one week since he fled Jujutsu Tech. Not a single person has come to drag him back.
Stripped of his cursed energy and wracked with guilt, Yuuji leaves Jujutsu Tech in the dead of night.

"Truthfully, I don't care when I die," Yuji finally declared, his words hanging in the air. Murmurs erupted from the stands, and he could sense Captain Levi's disapproval at his recklessness. "I honestly don't know anything about where I am, but I do know I want to save people, and I'm strong enough to do it. If I die right now, here in this courtroom, I can't say I won't have regrets."
The crowd fell into stunned silence as Yuji's gaze swept across the faces of those present, emphasizing his sincerity. "But if you let me help you," he continued passionately, "I swear to you I will kill all of the Titans!"

In an alternate ending, Gojo is freed much earlier and tries to clean up the mess that occurred in his absence. Newly appointed first-grade, Itadori Yuji, ends up on a solo mission where he encounters a cursed spirit with a bizarre cursed technique. He finds himself trapped in a wonderful new world where there are no curses to be seen - how refreshing - but surprise! Watch out for those hangry titans! I mean what is up with the whole ‘having an appetite for human flesh’ schtick anyway?
