Isabella Adora, a woman in her late 20s who worked as a file clerk, dreams of leaving the tedium of her life.
When she gets fired from her office job, she comes home to get in a big fight with her boyfriend, Jacob. She packs her bags and attempts to drive home on the other side of the United States. She gets lost Halfway there, nearly running out of gas In the middle of Nebraska. A helpful gas station attendant tells her about the ranch.She decides it beats sleeping in her car and rents a room. While getting something to eat at the motel bar, she has to pee and ends up in a glory hole for non-human life.
She now finds her self on the front line of keeping humanity safe, one encounter at a time. This is her story and the story of all those who stay at The Ranch.

You stopped in your tracks, abruptly turning around to face the sorcerer.
“I’m going to stop your right there, Howl.”
He raised a brow and a brief expression of surprise passed on his face at the mention of his name.
“You know my name? I would’ve remembered introducing myself to a beauty like you.
You grimaced at the line, knowing he had probably used the same one on countless other girls before you. And quickly raising a hand, you stopped him in his flirtatious behavior.
“Listen,” you began. “it was really nice of you to “come to my rescue”, but I had the situation handled. And I’m pretty sure you got the wrong girl.”
Your words seemed to have no effect on him whatsoever; Howl continuing to lessen the distance between the two of you. It wasn’t until his chest reached your opposing hand, that he paused his steps.
You really shouldn’t have been surprised with his actions, knowing what kind of man he had used to be before the beginning scenes of the movie took place.

Frederick had no idea he would later be eating his own words and chasing the heart of the very tactician whom he had been ever wary of. Yet Robin, overhearing the slight from Frederick at the Ylisse Harvest Ball, will not be won over so easily. It doesn’t help that the two so easily rile the other up.
A Fire Emblem Awakening slight AU with a strong hint of Pride and Prejudice. For if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, one might get away with Fredrick as Mr. Darcy, Chrom as Mr. Bingly, and Robin as Miss Elizabeth Bennett. This idea struck me and Naga help me, I’m running with it!
