The fight in the cactus ring, the expression on Scar's face as the light left his eyes, the horrible moments of silence that followed. All of it has been chasing Grian for years. His Scar, the one he met in the desert was gone, but he kept reappearing in the Scar that was still there.
The Scar that didn't remember anything.
After years of fighting with what happened, Grian decides to change it. He time travels back to that moment, back to the desert. But all actions have consequences.

There he gets bought by a charming assassin who tells (asks) him to come on a mission with him. All he has to do is pretend to be the man's boyfriend for a little while, once it's all over he'll get back to his normal life.
