Summary
Benched from Robin while Bruce is away on W.E. business, Tim fully intends to follow orders this time…until he discovers that the Red Hood is MIA.
And sure, maybe Hood is at the top of the list of reasons why Bruce doesn't want Robin patrolling solo right now. Maybe Jason's murderous loathing for Tim makes him the worst potential candidate for what he's determined is a rescue mission…but Tim's the only help available, so help he will. And who knows? Maybe he can find a way to bring Jason back home along the way.
It's just a quick, easy extraction mission.
Spoiler alert: it goes wrong.

Summary
Dick gripped onto the door handle but it didn’t budge.
Locked, because this was the only bathroom throughout the entire Manor that was allowed to be fully locked. Apparently, there had been one too many times certain vigilantes were found unconscious after hiding injuries or illnesses.
Dick had absolutely not been one of those vigilantes.
Okay, so maybe he’s underestimated a few good ol’ stab wounds in the past only to then collapse in a bathroom, but Dick was far better at knowing his own limits than his dumb brothers and his even dumber Bruce.
Dick could be trusted to have a lockable bathroom.
He… he had needed to have a lockable bathroom.
The point was this was Dick’s bathroom, not Tim’s, and Tim needed to get the hell out if he was in there and he needed to get the hell out of the country if he’d never been in there to begin with and had just decided to be a menace to society with a so-called prank.
“Tim,” Dick barked. “I’m giving you five seconds.”

But Robin isn’t most people.
Robin was supposed to be magic. Like Tim.
Or: Tim's mother passes down more than just a sharp wit and a strong sense of independence, and the batfam are under some severe misapprehensions.
