Summary
Ghost squints at him, one eye closed. “Rain stopped?”
“Perceptive as usual, sir.”
Ghost stands, stretching his arms above his head and rolling his neck. His shirt rides up to expose more than a sliver of skin—hips, and soft belly, and hair trailing into his boxer briefs—and Soap averts his eyes.

Summary
Soap frowns.
“I can’t ask you to do that,” he says after a beat.
“You’re not. I’m offering.”
Soap wants to protest further, he really does. But he’s so tired. It would be worth the humiliation if he could just get one night of rest.

Summary
He scrolls some more, ignoring the messages popping up. Then he spots a profile. The picture is a mirror selfie taken at the gym, cropped to exclude the guy’s face just like so many others, but Soap is pulled in by the big arms, one covered in a tattoo, and the black nail polish on his fingers. He’s built as hell, clearly more for functionality than aesthetics, and on closer inspection, his torso is littered with scars. It’s the only picture on his profile and none of the fields are filled out with additional information.
Soap bites at his lip, debating.

Summary
Kyle doesn’t know how he ended up here. Okay, that’s not true, he can trace it back through a series of bad decisions, but without hindsight, there’d be no way to tell that this would be the conclusion to them.

Summary
Soap isn’t sure how he hasn’t noticed it before—or why he did now—but when Ghost walked past him it was unmistakable. The sweats he’s wearing in the gym are thin and worn, and with Soap sitting on a bench, just having put the weights back on the rack, he’s at eye level with his Lt’s crotch.
