"You don't understand," Dean whispers, exhaling shakily. "I know you don't, because even I don't. The instant you were gone, I wanted you back. Cas, I wanted you back. I wanted—I wanted—"
Cas stares at him, searching his face. After a moment, his own face falls slack, eyes widening just so. "Oh," he breathes out.
Dean wants to be furious that Cas has figured it out before he has—whatever it is—but he's not even that surprised. Cas knows him too well, always has, even more than Dean knows himself. He's been kicking Dean in the goddamn teeth with how deeply he understands him, even about the things Dean doesn't, ever since they first met. You don't think you deserve to be saved, that's what Cas had said. All bundled up in impossibilities and power, this being that looked at Dean Winchester and knew every single inch of him, as if he had a right to each part.
"What?" Dean grits out.
"I love you, too."

Summary

Desperate for his brother back, Sam sends Dean to a mental hospital for help where he meets and befriends Doctor Castiel Novak, who specializes in religious-based schizophrenia. Meanwhile, Sam's love life is going to hell (not like it had ever gotten out anyways), and Castiel is having major issues in his cult-ish neighbourhood where they take the rules of the Lord a bit too seriously

Summary
After suffering a severe mental breakdown from losing his brother and angel, Dean finds himself kept in a mental health clinic in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He has no intentions of ever leaving, or living for that matter. But it's difficult when old friends, and older flames, continue to fight for him and pull him back to reality. But reality is messy, and Dean isn't sure it's even worth it. But with time, he starts to wonder if there might be some worth in life after all.
Cassie has been climbing the corporate ladder for the past ten years. It's been strange, living with the knowledge of monsters and hunters out there. She thinks often of Dean, of Sam, of the life she barely caught a glimpse of when she was younger. But those days are done, and she has her own life and friends to think about now. Little does she realize that seeing one old face in a crowd of strangers will send her reeling back down memory lane. Maybe there was a reason she could never fully let go after all.

Summary
Dean and Gabriel have been friends for a while, when Dean discovers something about Gabe’s family. Something like a cute, amazing little brother whose eyes make Dean’s heart beat fast from the first time. Sam discovers something too, something like love.
Also, Mike and Luce fail at being A+ big brothers, but they do their best.

Summary

It's in May of 2011, on their 6th year anniversary, that he finds out his fiancé is in love with someone else, and his life spirals out of control to a place he never wants to see again.
Now, three years later, he’s moved on with his life. Back in school, a part-time job, and a great roommate, life couldn’t be better. That is until his car breaks down and Castiel’s boss has his car towed to her husband’s garage.
A week later he comes face-to-face with Dean Winchester.
It's through Dean that he learns that we all have all flaws and that we can't always run from them.
