Summary
Sometimes, throughout this day of sheer torture, Keith finds himself reaching for Shiro, but Shiro scoots away from him, wary and guarded. He never snaps at Keith, or yells at him, or tries to hit or push him away, but he never lets Keith touch him, either, and enforces a careful distance between them.
It takes some effort to push through his own body’s needs for Keith to realise that Shiro is afraid.
Keith, an incubus, has one near run-in and another violent run-in with an angel over the course of centuries. Then that angel takes part in an incursion into hell, and finds himself injured and at Keith’s mercy.
Much to Keith’s surprise, he does take mercy on the beautiful angel, and decides to help him escape hell.

Summary

Obi-Wan doesn't usually get assigned investigative missions, but he's pretty sure the people being investigated aren't supposed to drop their blasters and surrender immediately.
Thorne flinches. “Well no offense to you, Kiffar, but this one—” He gestures at Obi-Wan. “Olen broke the rule, pointing a blaster at him, nevermind actually hitting him.”
“The rule?” Obi-Wan asks, flabbergasted. He looks at Quinlan, who is just as baffled.
“I certainly never pointed a blaster,” Thorne continues, loud, as if he’s hoping someone will overhear him.
“Now that you mention it, I am a little offended,” Quinlan says.
