He did not account for the Trial of Seven.
He did not account for the maester's face when he woke, or the way a single room smelling of medicine and blood could undo thirty years of vigilance in a second. The smallfolk beyond the gates are already enraged. The law demands its price. The royal family closes around the problem the way Targaryens always descend on problems - fast, and at someone else's expense. He did not account for the law's poetry: that the punishment for violating an omega's honour before thousands is to marry him to the man who did it.
He did not account for what it means to be something Aerion Targaryen does not want.
