Summary
Nights with Illari were warm, the soft heat radiating off her form always managing to soothe whatever tender bumps and bruises his body (and mind) had endured during the day as he was lulled into the sleeping world's embrace.
But it's grip had always been loose around him, leaving that anxious part of his brain to rip him out of its arms the second anything in the waking world had changed, no matter how minute it might be. This frustrating occurance had become more uncommon as he grew older, something he had been eternally grateful for. But recently, he found himself waking in the late hours of the night more often than not, with the culprit always being the feeling of scalding heat on his skin.

Wuyang’s mind reflects the ocean, fluctuating between serene waves and roaring tides, barely able to keep himself afloat.
