Summary: After the war, the bijuu are freed and the Six Paths Sage makes one final appearance to grant all nine of them their own, human-styled bodies (each body featuring a selection of unique traits from their true forms and heightened senses) so that they can live amongst the mortal population and begin Clan’s of their own.

“How are you?” Stiles asked, falling onto the couch beside Derek and leaning heavily into him. “How was your day? How’s the book?” He kissed his cheek once. Twice. Then two more times in quick succession.
Derek turned to look at him, Stiles affecting his most innocent expression as he patiently waited for Derek to answer his questions.
Instead of doing so, Derek slowly closed his book, losing his page, and set it on the coffee table in front of them. Then he turned to look at Stiles, leaning back slightly against the arm rest, and crossed his arms.

Honestly, Stiles would like it noted that none of this was his fault. Not the years of movie nights, the orange slices, the forehead kisses, the domesticity, or the fact that Derek apparently courted him using romance scenes from Jonathan Hale’s bestselling detective novels.
In Stiles’s defense, Derek Hale was obviously straight, out of his league, and definitely not looking at him like a Victorian widow seeing sunlight again. Unfortunately for Stiles, literally everyone else noticed years ago.
