Jamil’s eyebrows furrowed, “No, Kalim, doing that wouldn’t change the situation. I will always save you.”
Kalim frowned, “Then what should I do?”
“What should you do?” Jamil frowned back, mimicking Kalim’s confused expression.
“If- if letting myself get- get taken away won’t help you, then- then what should I do?” Kalim brought his hands up to clear the tears from his eyes.
“Letting yourself?” Jamil’s voice sounded darker, as if he was speaking the worst thing imaginable.
