At twenty five, a sudden death in the family finds Zuko holding custody to his seventeen year old estranged sister as her sole living kin fifteen years after they were separated as kids when their parents split.
‘You’re my responsibility.’
‘Do people fuck their responsibilities?’
‘No, they don’t. But there’s nothing else I can call you, other than your name.’
Even if they were blood, sister didn’t feel right. They were not friends, or co workers and they were far from strangers.
At best they were roommates, two people who casually had sex with one another because they were attracted to one another, the fact that they shared parents inconsequential.
