Summary
The Manager has sent Arthur and John off to the world to live (mostly) normal lives. Now, it's time for him to rebuild the Waylay.
Unfortunately, a particular voice in his head just won't leave him alone.
And, an alternate version of his dead daughter keeps haunting him.
Worst of all, the Manager seems to be running into the architectural equivalent of an artist block.
What's a god to do?
Turns out Arthur Lester might be yet another solution to a god's problem.Bookmarked by CopperCards

Summary
Trying to problem-solve at the moment was like slogging his way uphill through mud. He wanted… he wanted, he needed… the words slipped from his mind, not quite within reach. He only knew there was someone—someones?—who were safe, who would protect him, and he needed them now.

“Give me your hand,” he instructed, low enough so as not to wake Arthur.
Obediently, John did so. He didn’t know what he’d been expecting, but, whatever it was, it wasn’t something light and somewhat soft being slipped over his wrist. A few adjustments later the mystery item was snug against his skin, not too tight and not too loose.
"There. How does it feel?”
John reached over to tap his reply. What, exactly, is ‘it’?
Noel laughed, the sound rumbling off the walls. “A bracelet.”

Summary
The sun was gliding lower, twilight mingling on the scraps of horizon barely peeking through the gaps between offices and department stores and whatever other shiny new buildings had sprouted up like so many daisies.
Noel found he quite enjoyed this time of day when the cars were scarcer and the foot traffic thinned. Yes, even those scraps of sky as they turned a deep amber, then royal blue, then dusky purple. His insomnia may have been a bitch, but at least, on some nights, it dressed itself up as something near-comforting.
Some nights.
This one, however? Debatable.

Summary
The eldritch horrors let up just long enough to allow Arthur to process a more human concern: what blindness means for him and his future.
