A soft laugh slips out of Keith before he asks, "Doctors got you on the good stuff, huh?"
Lance develops appendicitis, and Keith is a very patient boyfriend.

“I’ll see you next time, Lance.” He hoists his bag over his shoulder, taking a step back towards the ship. Lance pouts at him.
“Yeah, yeah. Let me know when you land so I know you didn’t get sucked into a black hole.” He pauses, pressing his lips together tight, and his cheeks go the slightest bit redder. “And, um…let me know what you think?”

“You…” The Hylian breaks the silence, voice low and rough. Lance’s fingers tingle, shiver running down his spine as those eyes keep looking at him. The Hylian’s gaze is unwavering, deep and heavy as he keeps staring at Lance, drinking him up. It was unnerving, but so comforting. “You’re here.”
Lance keeps staring, trying to make sense of the question. This man seemed to know him, and was talking as if they'd met before. He takes a breath, coughs out a weak mutter, “I am?”
His nerves start acting up, making his hands tremble. Lance looks away, the sea breeze rustling his hair as he adds with a giddy laugh, “Was I supposed to be anywhere else?”

“We’ve met,” Lance said politely.
Shiro looked at him in surprise.
Keith nodded towards Lance. “This is Pool Guy.”
Shiro’s eyebrows rose in realization as he looked between the two of them. Keith glared daggers at Lance as Lance tried to look as innocent and sweet as possible.
Shiro snorted.
“God, this is going to be a good summer.”When Lance caught a glimpse of his new neighbor’s brother visibly flinching away from the sun, he thought it was a little funny. When he realized that prickly egomaniac thought the entirety of summer was overrated, he decided that someone had to do something. Someone is him. It’s Lance inserting himself into another person’s business. Again. Maybe this time it won’t blow up in his face.
Alternatively, the author of Silver Bells has returned with another collaborative fic! Lance is determined to show Keith that summer is not as awful as he thinks. Through activities and adventures of your choosing, he may just prove Keith wrong. And maybe they will fall a little bit in love along the way.
