Summary
They were the moon and the ocean, always pulling, ever retreating.
He had thought the anger would insulate him, that wanting this and hating it simultaneously would cancel each other out and nullify the meaning behind it.
Instead, the anger amplified everything. Sharpened every point of contact into the tip of a knife.
Chuuya leaned into it, baring his throat, feeling teeth and tongue and thorns.
He had built himself a life, one that didn't revolve around Dazai, but as soon as he saw him, Chuuya had to fight not to fall back into his orbit.
But oh, how he wanted to give in.
Dazai and Chuuya had been in each other's orbit for a very long time, until one day Dazai simply left without a goodbye.
Four years later, an asteroid on a collision course with Earth forces them to work together, to share space and the weight of the world.
Saving the planet might prove easier than learning to trust each other again.

Summary
It was my pleasure writing this for DoAliensLikePasta (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
I really had to step out of my comfort zone, but look at what it lead to… the story completely got out of my own hands and I ended up writing way more than I had planned to.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you like it.
This plays in an AU with Omegaverse dynamics.
Mainly, I was thinking of how those dynamics could impact the plot in order to lead to a scenario like the one prompted?
And so I thought, with instincts and hormones playing a bigger role, some reactions and decisions would have deviated.
Chuuya rises to the top of an organization as King of the Sheep, supported by Verlaine and Rimbaud. They frequently cross paths with the Port Mafia, but there is a fragile stalemate.
Meanwhile, what if Dazai reacted more vengeful to Oda's death?

(Chuuya comes to the Devil with a simple deal: he wants to become a guardian angel. The Devil gives him a human to protect. Being an incubus, Chuuya must do so without accidentally – or not so much – dragging him into bed.)
