Summary
Slingshot becomes a vigilante after his siblings get hurt in an incident. He encounters a CERTAIN obnoxious regular while scouting Crossroads and all of a sudden, he is dragged into the said obnoxious regular's "slight inconvenience" involving Blackrock.
Coil gets too close with a vigilante and the vigilante in question turns out to be the same guy he annoys everyday at a cafe. He unknowingly puts the vigilante in danger and gets both of their asses kicked by the authorities.
Subspace finds out about the vigilante and Coil's nightly rendevous and teams up with the Crossroad authorities to capture Coil with the promise of bringing down the vigilante too.
Banhammer becomes unhappy with the vigilante and the impact they have caused on the views of the common folk. He and the Crossroad authorities team up with Subspace as a last-resort to arrest the vigilante.
The authorities really could give less of a fuck because the vigilante is technically helping them but their boss is not happy so they have to follow suit.

Summary
In another universe, maybe things would be different. They'll laugh. Exchange numbers. Maybe go on a cafe date later on.
But reality was harsh, and glimpses of what could've been were immediately shattered.
The inphernal who bumped into Slingshot gave a nasty glare. “Watch where you're going, fuckin’ bitch.”
“I– why, you-!” Slingshot spluttered, stumbling over his words in shock.
To top it all off, they merely rolled their eyes, before walking away like nothing ever happened.
Slingshot felt his blood boil.
“Asshole!” Slingshot called out as he got up. “I hope you trip in a fucking gutter!”
Or, Slingshot goes about one of the worst ways to meet your crush.

Slingshot prides himself on keeping Thieve’s Rest running smoothly. Every drink is perfect, every pastry is carefully made, and every customer is handled professionally.
Then Coil walks in.
Being the annoyingly smug, and never quite serious inphernal he is, Coil proves himself to be the single most irritating customer Slingshot has ever met.
Unfortunately, he also keeps coming back.
What begins as mutual annoyance slowly turns into late conversations, familiar routines, and feelings neither of them know how to deal with.
