It's a sweet thing that's always excited to see him, wagging its tail with such ferocity that it almost seems like it may snap off. Its fur is very soft but it doesn't really like Haruka petting it; apparently he's too rough. He enjoys playing with it outside because it can run very fast and always falls for the fake ball throw trick, sending Haruka into hysterics each time. So, of course, he loves the dog.
But his mother utterly adores that damn dog.
Haruka is jealous.

She stumbles forward, draping herself over him and sobbing into his cold, unmoving shoulder. She grabs and pulls at him, weeping loudly to get his attention, but he doesn't move, he doesn't comfort her with sweet words and pats on the back like he normally does, doesn't even harshly question her on what the hell she's doing. He doesn't move at all.
After all, Shin Tsukimi expired a while ago.
