Summary
Phainon has always believed in destiny.

“Father?” Silver called out, gently pushing himself up on his elbows. It seems like he had fallen asleep on the couch and a blanket had been lovingly draped over his small figure to keep him nice and warm from the creeping winter chill. Though, in hindsight, it was a little strange that his father hadn't just carried him to his room like usual, although this wasn't the forefront of what Silver was truly curious about.
“Why are you—” His father suddenly turned with an expectant grin. “Ah! You’re awake. Excellent timing.”
He stepped aside.
There was a small figure sitting on the shelf.
It wore red. Its smile was stitched, not painted, and its eyes caught the morning light in a way that made them seem almost alive. It sat perfectly upright, hands folded on its knees, as if it had been waiting.
Silver stared.
After a moment had passed he asked quietly. “What is that?”
His father clasped his hands together, delighted. “That, my dear boy, is an elf.”

A creature lunged from behind a broken column. Liu Qingge turned and killed it in a single, brutal strike, then faced Shen Qingqiu again as though nothing had interrupted them.
“Because I would never leave you,” he replied sincerely.
Something broke in Shen Qingqiu’s expression.
“They assumed I was dead,” Shen Qingqiu added quietly. “I heard them shouting it.”
“Well, you certainly proved them wrong.”
Shen Qingqiu laughed, sharp and disbelieving, then coughed, blood at the corner of his mouth. “You really shouldn’t have come back here.”
“I know, but I wanted to.”
What begins as political convenience becomes survival, scandal, and a love neither of them planned for.

The stars don’t go out all at once. They dim slowly, like they’re trying not to be noticed.
The first one slips behind the black, then another. You don’t feel the dark until it’s already everywhere.
He always said it was just the sky being shy. Said it like it was funny, like his voice wasn’t cracking when he said it.
But he kept watching anyway. Every night.
Wrapped in too many blankets. A cup cooling in his hands. The telescope sat nearby, untouched.
“It’s just the weather,” he murmured once, when the coughing didn’t stop.
Or maybe it was, “The air’s thinner up here.”
Something soft. Something harmless.
He always had a reason. Always had a smile.
That kind of tired, aching smile you give someone you love when you don’t want them to ask what’s really wrong.
So no one did.
Not then.
Not until the stars were mostly gone.

Summary
Phainon believes they're destined to be together, his friends were just too blind to see that Professor Anaxa clearly reciprocated his feelings.
Silence fell. A bird chirped. Somewhere in the distance, a lawnmower droned—a metaphor, possibly, for Mydei’s will to live.
“Look,” Castorice said at last—voice kind, but laced with the bone-deep weariness of someone who’d been here far too many times—“I’m not trying to crush your quest for true love or whatever, but please. Either confess or let it go. You can’t keep spiraling over fractions of seconds.”
Phainon’s grin widened, radiant and unbothered. “But the fractions are getting longer. That means something.”
“So would medication,” Mydei muttered, barely audible over the sound of his own mental collapse.
But Phainon simply leaned back onto the grass, utterly unbothered, clutching his notebook to his chest like sacred scripture. He stared up at the sky with the sigh of a man caught in a tragic ballad, already rehearsing his next completely unnecessary excuse to show up during office hours.
“It’s fine,” he thought. “He’ll realize it soon. Love like this doesn’t go unnoticed forever.”

The older sister glanced back at her brother, who was looking around the platform with polite detachment. "Go on, Anaxagoras. Introduce yourself."
The boy stepped forward, meeting Phainon’s eyes briefly before offering a small bow of his head. "I’m—"
"You’re pretty," Phainon blurted.
The words hung in the hot air like a firecracker that had failed to go off.
Phainon’s eyes widened a fraction too late, heat rushing to his face. He hadn’t meant to say that out loud. His parents both laughed; the older sister covered her mouth with a quick, amused giggle. Cyrene gave him a sidelong grin, the corners of her mouth twitching in that way that meant she’d never let him live this down.
Anaxagoras—Anaxa—flushed faintly, clearing his throat. "…I’m Anaxagoras. It’s nice to meet you."

Summary
Shen Jiu was no saint, yet, despite that his body had moved on its own, driven by some instinct he didn’t understand, much less want.
He ended up saving an old man at the expense of his own safety. Next thing he knew some weird creature popped up claiming he was a hero.
"Hello, my name is Tikki and I'm the Kwami of the Ladybug Miraculous."
The young man frowned at the foreign words being used, "Kwami? Miraculous? I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh, they're the items inside that box over there." Inside the box? But the only thing in that was... the earrings!
"I knew this was probably cursed as fuck, no wonder I had the urge to wear them!" Shen Jiu made a move to throw the box out the window as he continued cursing: "I fucking knew it!"
"No, no, no! Wait, it's not a curse!" The red entity exclaimed in panicked terror.
"Then what is this supposed to mean?" He asked angrily, using his hand to shove the box forward for emphasis.
"It means that you've been chosen to be a Miraculous Holder, I'm here to grant you powers."
"Bullshit."
"You're really the chosen one, Shen-gongzi!"
"Lies."

"Seeing Shizun here brings this student so much joy.""It's a–" Shen Qingqiu pauses, looking for a more eloquent response but he finds himself at a loss for nicer words so he continues with: "A joy—" he quietly grimaces, still not a wonderful choice of words but he continues anyway, "To see you as well, Your Highness."
The Crown Prince's lips lightly quirk up at his response, his crimson coloured eyes shining with sick amusement.

Summary
The curve of Xingqiu's lips doesn't falter, it even seems to widen as his golden amber eyes brighten considerably as if he was daydreaming.
"Could you…" His friend starts, looking at him as though he was considering which words could coax Chongyun to do his bidding.
"Could you please…do me a small favour?"
A favour?
He blinks a bit at that, unsure of whether he should agree. If he were to consider this carefully, Chongyun must factor in that this was Xingqiu and a great many things could easily blow out of proportion. Although he had such thoughts, he could not dismiss that because this was Xingqiu he finds himself nodding.
If the boy had known exactly what favour his friend would ask he might've refused it to save himself from momentary embarrassment for the next fifteen minutes or so.
But he was most unfortunate, as he felt his face heat up at the words that left the other boy's lips: “Could you kiss me?"

Arthur snorts at that and he smiles yet again. For a moment, Alfred thinks it must be a sin to have that of a pretty smile.
"Aren't you supposed to get to know me first before asking me out on a date?"
Alfred shakes his head, he was honestly relieved Arthur didn't seem creeped out with their conversation.
