The pain blooms on his throat this time as the characters that write the answer carve themselves into his skin. It doesn’t feel like a scalpel cutting through his skin this time. Nor does it feel like his skin is breaking on its own after being stretched too thin. Instead, the experience is akin to having his throat literally shredded, as if a million of tiny, jagged claws or teeth are digging into his flesh and pulling at it to brand him with the words.
This time, Katsuki screams.

Summary
Katsuki wasn't sure what to say about this. All his life, he'd— he was a horrible person; both inside and out.
He didn't deserve whatever this is. He didn't deserve anything, not when the boy he'd tormented relentlessly was shaking in front of him, with outstretched limbs a sincere smile dripping down his face, tears smacking the concrete.
Katsuki wanted to say something— anything, but then Deku had looked up at him - through a tearful gaze of forest green - and softly gasped, "I forgive you, Kacchan."
Those words made something within Katsuki snap; like the slicing of a tendon in his muscle, he was unable to reject it. And so he crept towards Deku — amazing, brilliant Deku who didn't deserve any of what Kacchan did — and he hugged him.
Deku wrapped his arms around Katsuki and Katsuki let himself fall into his embrace. He was so warm, so nice — so reminiscent of home, of something Katsuki should have never thrown away.
He let his head float atop Deku's and he evened his breathing.
Katsuki would never let Deku cry, even if it meant dying.
(Or, the Koe no Katachi AU with main BakuDeku fanfiction that literally nobody wanted and I shouldn't have made.)
