"There's nothing but the controllers for the boards back there, sweetie! It's all dark and dusty and boring stuff. An absolute snooze-fest, really!"
You'd dropped the subject after that, thanking him for letting you quell your curiosity.
The recollection of the backstage area surfacing in your mind, you realized Tenna had definitely been a little defensive about letting you back there. Now that he wasn't here to steer you away...

Summary
K Violetta is young half draconic woman, living on her own in a shitty apartment in an equally shitty town. She isolates herself extensively from others as a defense mechanism, terrified of being back stabbed after the difficult life she's lived. One day, someone leaves a television at her door. She makes the mistake of taking it in, throwing her life into a never ending horror show. She's forced to confront her past and deal with a sentient, obsessive, mind controlling television who will do anything to keep her as his permanent captive audience. Tasked with destroying the dark fountain she was forced to create, K makes it her mission to get back home and get control of her life again. All the while avoiding the grasp of Mr. Ant Tenna and (attempting) to make allies with the Darkners of her apartment.
Even then, something darker brews on the horizon. Someone else is pulling the strings. K's life, and the life of every last Lightner and Darkner is on the line.
For once, being friendly may be the only way out.

Decades after Cyber City was ravaged by flesh-eating computer worms, few remember the infestation of 1997. After all, there was no point dwelling on it when the vile parasites had been fully eradicated. There was no chance that one had survived.
