Summary
No one says anything as he walks into the locker room that morning. Evan never expected them to. Nowadays it's been nothing but cold shoulders and the occasional awkward eye contact.
He gets bored earlier than normal today, with the light duty he’s been assigned since he returned to work, and decides to flip through his mail earlier than usual. About halfway through the pile he gets to an envelope with a very familiar seal.
Before today Evan would’ve tried to fight it. He would’ve called Ice and asked him for a favor, but now? Now, he’s ecstatic. He is finally ready to go back. Mentally and physically. But first Evan has to quit his job.
Or
After the tsunami, the PE, and the lawsuit, Station 118 doesn't feel like home anymore. So Buck's ecstatic to get the call to action from Admiral Kazansky. A 9-1-1 x Top Gun: Maverick Crossover AU.

Summary
In the wake of Peter Parker erasing himself from the memories of his friends and family, not to mention the entire universe, he's doing as well as can be expected. Three years later, he's attending ESU, trying to work three jobs alongside getting two degrees, and still going out as Spider-Man. He's fine, really. Everything is just fine. That is until a run-in with the law and a DNA test shatter the carefully constructed facade that Peter had made his life.

“Your blood matches a sample the FBI has on file from a kidnapping case.” Agent Carisi opens the thicker file. “A four-year-old boy taken while on vacation with his father about twenty years ago.”
Peter’s breathing speeds up.
“Authorities took fingerprint and DNA samples from the boy’s room, and at the father’s behest, we continue to test them against any that are placed within any system we have access to.”
A piece of paper with lab results lays atop the file. It gets picked up and placed on the table.
“This afternoon, we finally got a match.” -

Summary
Dr. Strange’s spell shoved Peter Parker sideways and backwards through time instead of erasing the world’s memory of him after the Battle at Liberty Island.
Suddenly, it’s 2016. May’s alive, Thanos has yet to inflict mass-trauma on the entire universe, and with the help of a really good lawyer, Spider-Man grows to be the working class hero that New York City deserves.

Summary
"Life is a cruel and twisted game. Peter learnt this at a very early age. Consistently, every good that he experienced was found to be temporary, eventually ripped harshly from his grasp the second he began to believe that the happiness would have no end. Pain, however, that stayed- lingered in the shadows wherever he went, waiting for the perfect moment to jump out and embed itself into his skin. It became a part of who he is, and although he would never admit this out loud, he found its presence comforting.
The one thing Peter still genuinely found joy in was Spider-Man, it was the only time where his carefully curated persona felt less... well fake. So, swinging through New York, listening a playlist filled with his aunt and uncles favourite songs, on his earpiece that he made a few months, was probably one of the best parts of his day."
Or,
Peter hasn't had an easy life, losing all his family and friends, and being forced to fend for himself. However, one day a strange man walks into the garage he works in asking Peter to fix his metal arm... Unknown to him, this was the begging of a new era- filled with the best type of chaos (and occasionally, the less good kind). -

Peter is staring at the stage, where his mentor stands. It hurt, the way the man did not even glance at the boy, as his eyes skimmed past him with no sense of recognition.

Peter is in his freshman year at MIT, juggling Spiderman and school work and grief, not expecting that a college fest would be the one thing that would force him to confront his past.
