Andy had officially embedded herself into her mind. Way more than before. God, it was official—Amari had a crush.
She internally cringed. Ugh, she hated that word. Crush. It felt so juvenile—something a middle schooler would doodle in a notebook with hearts all around it. But there really wasn't a better term for the way her heart would start to try and escape from her chest every time Andy would come near her.
What's worse was she'd become hyperaware of the older woman's presence. She was now even more aware of how Andy's lips would curve in a smile, how her tone would lower when they spoke quietly, how she runs a hand through her hair when she was nervous or stressed or both—God, it made Amari want to scream.
