Obi-Wan stepped on the plane to Bandomeer, his heart shattered and the weight of failure heavy on his small shoulders, only to look up and see a man clad in black single handedly fight off pirates. When the man finishes the fight by brutally snapping the captains’ neck, Obi-Wan realizes in a very quiet and creeping hysteria, that oh, it’s a Sith.
In which a Forty-Five-year-old Vader and an eleven-year-old Obi-Wan are thrown into the first months of the Clone Wars.

Summary
Obi-Wan had lived for thirty-six years without finding his soulmate. It was a common thing, after all—most beings ended up losing their hopes at some point, settling down and marrying whoever made them happy. Even if their name didn't match the one written on their partner's skin.
As a Jedi, knowing your soulmate made you a liability; prone to rushed decisions and impulsive reactions. So, as much as Obi-Wan longed to know who his soulmate was, he couldn't say he didn't live a happy life even without meeting them.
That was, until a Sith stepped inside the walls of the Jedi Temple, with the words Obi-Wan Kenobi etched into his skin shining like the most terrible of promises.

Anakin looked like he did before he Fell. He wore the same dark brown robes he always had, with one glove covering his right hand, the one he’d lost to Dooku. He had dark blond hair that almost reached his shoulders, and a scar over his right eye. He looked young, far younger than he had been when he died.
“…M-Master?” Anakin whispered.
Obi-Wan swallowed. Anakin sounded the same too, and he hadn’t realized just how much he missed hearing his former padawan’s voice.

Summary
Anakin Skywalker looks upon his son with his own eyes, and it is the last thing he sees.
The color of those eyes, blue like the ones he had once gazed at in the mirror, without the red haze of his mask, is what makes it all worth it in the end.
After, there is the calm touch of the Force, and the soft pads of Luke’s fingers on the little skin he has left. It is hot, almost painful, but not as the last twenty years have been. Rather it is soothing—reminiscent of herbal tea in quarters he had never once forgotten the arrangement of.
