“Fuck off, Princess Bubblegum,” Invisigal snaps. “It was a joke. If this fucking meeting wasn’t about ‘sexual harassment’,” she rolls her eyes and makes finger quotes, “it’d be about us being too loud on the radio, or us not being a picture-fucking-perfect hero squad, or us fucking up something on a call.”
Flambae hisses out another burst of sparks. “Don’t roll your fucking eyes,” he says, lip curled into a sneer, “you know full well that was a creepy fucking line, Invisibitch.”
OR: Invisgal makes another comment. Robert hits his limit, and so does the Z-Team.

He feels kind dozy with it; he can’t remember the last time he’d felt so peaceful, certainly not since waking up from his coma. He can still feel his speed waiting at his edges but it’s tempered, a tingle instead of a buzz.
Barry lets his head drop back onto Mick’s shoulder when Len slides two fingers under his chin and tilts it, blinking drowsily up at him.
“Mick said you expressed an interest in using wax on him. Does that translate to experience?” he asks, voice soft and low.

this is fucking FASCINATING. not a pairing i usually read but the summary + tags was interesting and the sheer cognitive dissonance displayed by jason was amazing to read. what a beautiful display of an unreliable narrator. grinned the whole time while reading because it's so perfectly balanced; idek how to describe it. there's an edge of comedy at the start which slowly slips away as jason clings to his worldview with both hands while it's under attack from all directions. it paves the way for some truly delightful awed horror. top tier.

What if Jason actually stayed as competent as he was in Lost Days and Under the Hood, and actually reacted to his (ex-)dad slicing his neck open?
What if Bruce actually got taken to task (eventually) for being abusive?
What if people actually decided to talk to each other, and listened to what the other person was saying?But really, it's: what if Jason had a support system; and what if Jason had someone tell him that violence is not how you solve all societal problems.
(And what if I decided that the narrative would be on Jason's side as much as DC's narrative is on Batman's)
