“Well he’s obviously the leading force in the wine industry, so he must be very dedicated to his work, and intelligent too, to make it as far as he has. I’ve also heard he’s quite the lady’s man.”
Diluc scoffed.
“What’s wrong? Are you perhaps acquainted and don’t like him?” Thoma frowned.
Diluc stared at Thoma for a solid minute as if he had grown horns and a tail before shaking his head, seeming to have snapped himself out of whatever it was Thoma was missing.
“Something like that,” Diluc said.
Or Thoma wants to meet the owner of Angel Share not knowing he's sitting right across from him and has liked Thoma since they were kids.

Diluc's throat felt tight.
He hated this. Hated how good it felt. How much he wanted to just give in, to lean into Thoma's warmth and softness, to let himself be cared for.
But he couldn't. Not when every quiet thought in the back of his mind whispered guilt and sin and shame.
Still, he couldn't quite bring himself to pull away.
Not when Thoma's hand, warm and steady against his back, was the only thing anchoring him in a world that was rapidly tilting sideways.
